Situations in which it is wiser to retreat and leave everything as it is, of course, happen, but for the most part – quite rarely. The main thing is not to sit idly by when you have every chance of achieving the desired result.
1. You are much stronger than you think
We often underestimate ourselves and our strengths. This is especially true for people with low self-esteem. They always feel that they don't have enough knowledge in this or that area to cope with their duties and responsibilities.
But you are stronger than you think you are. One small setback is not a reason to give up if you are really striving to achieve your goal.
2. You have a chance to prove yourself
You can only fail if you choose to surrender willingly and have every chance of getting what you want. In other cases, you gain valuable experience. Don't give up on your goal if it's really important to you.
3. You can be a person who inspires others by example
You must have met such people who not only tell you about something inspiring, but also show you by their own example that if you have a great desire, you can achieve anything you want. After a conversation with such a person, you want to work on yourself, improve your knowledge and skills, and take up the realization of your own ideas. So think about it: what prevents you from becoming one of these inspirations?
4. You can upgrade your skills
It's worth setting yourself up to believe that the best way to learn something new or acquire the skills you need is to try it. No theory can compare to practice. You'll get a tremendous experience, even if you can't follow through with it.
5. You must remember that nothing in life is impossible
Careful, there's a motivational quote coming! “The only good reason you can give up is your death.” Of course, this is an exaggerated statement that can only be used for internal kicking, but in no way as a life principle. But the point remains the same: if you really want something badly, if you make the effort, you will get it.
Who says you can't make an income of 100,000 rubles a month? Of course, it's not going to happen at the snap of a finger, and you're unlikely to reach this mark for a couple of months of work. But, say, in six months you could well double your salary. If you have a strong desire to do so.
Or here's another thing: to be promoted you need a good knowledge of a foreign language. You have been studying it since school, along the way, asking for help from numerous tutors, signing up for various clubs and passing language courses. This did not bring any progress, and you decide to give up on the study and miss a great opportunity for career development. Before you give up, try again – listen to podcasts in a foreign language, learn new words on your way to work, watch your favorite shows and movies in their original language with subtitles, try to practice your spoken language by talking to foreigners. Make language learning an integral part of your day, and after a few weeks you'll see how persistence and hard work bring you closer to the results you want.
6. You have to be realistic.
Realism is about an objective assessment of your own strength. Yes, the probability that you will get something right the first time is extremely low. But that's no reason to sit back. You should give yourself some time to pull yourself together, and try again. You may even have to postpone the implementation of some business and spend time on acquiring the necessary knowledge.
7. You can attain your dreams
It's not uncommon to find people in our lives who are trying hard to prove to us (and everyone else) that our dreams and aspirations are impossible. Well, focusing on results is a great way to prove others wrong. Don't let anyone ruin your dreams.
8. You're getting close.
When you feel like you're about to give up, you're probably very close to the finish line. All you have to do is make one last push, and the desired result is assured. So don't rush to give up – get it together and do it.
9. You deserve to be happy
Don't let anyone tell you that you don't deserve something. Everyone can (and should) be happy, which means that you need to do your best to make even your boldest ideas come true. Learning to evaluate yourself on your own merits and not to depend on other people's opinions is the key to harmony with yourself.
10. You have everything you need to fulfill your goals
If you set yourself realistic goals, then you have everything you need to achieve them. There are thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of training courses, master classes and tutorials on the Internet. You have free access to a vast body of knowledge in almost any field you are interested in – so take it and educate yourself. Don't look for excuses.
